In the heart of the Smoky Mountains, where culture and heritage runs deep, are gifted artisans who continue to put their feelings into the arts, crafts, folklores, music, writings, and other artistic traditions of the past. But there are also those who inspire to hold onto tradition, and go beyond. These talented artisans are creating works that will live as traditions that will be the traditions of future generations. This page is dedicated to both styles of artisans, and we thought you might enjoy a first hand glimpse at some of their works.
Special Feature:
Under the writers category we would like to feature author Mr. “Wolf” Dean. If you have perused the website, you will find that Mr. Dean is a multi-talented individual, and he has offered the first Chapter of his book "Mortal Conquests of the Dark Ages" for your reading pleasure. The book is written in its entirety, but has not yet finished with the re-writes, and editing stages. The first four chapters of the book have completed the final editing stages, and are ready for publication. Wolf will be offering the first Chapter of his book to WNC Guidebook for you to preview, and has promised us a Chapter a month for 3 more months, but that's where the preview ends. By May of 2006, Wolf will be ready for publication, and he will be offering the entire book as an EBOOK for $ 5.00 a copy by June 1st, 2006.
